Man Stops in Forestville to Change Wiper Blades Excites Local Official

November 30, 2008

There is not much going on in the village today, but an out of town motorist parked at the Cumberland Farms at the foot of Church Avenue changing his wind shield wipers energized one local official, “Listen he could have changed those wipers in Burlington or Farmington, but he did it here in Forestville.  I’m thrilled.  See people are coming to Forestville,” said a proud Betty Boukus who represents the 22nd district which includes the village of Forestville.

The motorist changed his wipers and continued his journey along the slopped road much to Ms. Boukus disappointment “It’s too bad he did not stay and see what Forestville has to offer.”

Out and About in Forestville – Silas Minutia Leaving My Mother’s Favorite Orchestra

November 30, 2008

Good morning Forestville!

A wintry mix for the village today, with a chance of snow and sleet.  Temperature around 30.  Northeast winds at about 5 mph.  Enjoy!

I bumped into Silas Minutia moments ago during breakfast (Panera Bread).  Silas is known to Forestville as the drummer in My Mother’s Favorite Orchestra (MMFO).  He also played in Severed Head, Free Drinks and Fisted Five.  Unfortunately he may be leaving MMFO due to creative differences.  I did some graphic work for Severed Head years ago (see below).  Does this mean Severed Head is getting back together?  Hmmm.

My travels take me to Newington today.  Yuck.

 More later.

Local Dominatrix Upset about Route 72

November 29, 2008

I could not end this day without posting this story.

Despite all the accolades about the extension of Route 72, it appears there are still a few that are upset.

Forestville dominatrix Mistress Veronica (Mistress V) is one such person.  I ran into Mistress V at the Sno-White Car Wash on Pine Street this afternoon.  “This Route 72 will bring us nothing but crime, corruption and moral degenerates,” sneered Mistress V.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation the purpose of the extension is to relieve congestion along the existing road, which passes through the village of Forestville.  But the $300.00 an hour whip wielding dominatrix will have none of that. “We have a train that runs through the center of town several times a week, and a helicopter pad too.  Do we really need a highway?”

To be continued.

The MML located at 260 Central Street has books, lots of them and DVDs too.  Please visit.  We are so lucky!

Forestville Residents Struck by Lightning

November 29, 2008

While at Panera Bread in the Shop Rite Plaza for lunch today, I overheard this story.

During last week’s storm, Forestville residents Kenneth Snipps and Norbert Pendleton were struck by lightning while jousting!  I’m not kidding.  No word on their condition yet.  As details develop I will post them.

Around Town Today – Forestville Little League

November 29, 2008

I am out and about today and here is what I have learned, so far.

Field 1 is being rebuilt at Forestville Little League.

As of this morning the infield is torn apart.  Work began November 8th and will likely continue until the first snowfall.

Below is a picture of the infield as of this morning.

I will post again after lunch.
