Deane Kilbourne, Chairman of the Bristol DTC, says there are plenty of the “I Voted Today” stickers at the polls despite Republican efforts to stop shipment of the labels via a blockade.
Believing they had few options other than force, influential DTC members favored an aggressive response to the blockade with tanks and jeeps from the Hartford Armory showing up. Kilbourne nixed that plan. “We airlifted the stickers and other voting supplies in late last night under the cover of darkness to each poll. We are fine,” he confidently said from his bunker complex.
Sources confirm B29s and F15s were just put on alert, however.
